SkywatcherVR has developed a virtual reality application called Instrument Studio VR. It is the first and so far one of a kind system for recording music in virtual reality. More precisely, this is a complete copy of a conventional recording studio, transferred to a virtual environment.
According to techcult.ru, the author of the application is Paul Kalen, who three years ago designed the first drum kit for virtual reality. Since then, he has moved far in this direction - so much so that he has managed to consistently transfer a whole series of musical instruments and related equipment to virtual reality. Ken and Karl Papenfusy, professional musicians from the Northern Irish band Relish, helped him in this.
The Instrument Studio VR application has already received high marks and has even been nominated for the DreamlandXR festival prize, which will be held as part of the international exhibition CES 2020 next month.
