A series of reports surfaced that cited several owner complaints about the iPhone 6 Plus, and the new handset bending in their pockets. Apple hasn’t issued any official statement on the issue, but an Apple Support employee has indicated that the company will allow customers who accidentally bend their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus units to return them and get a free replacement.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are made of aluminum casing. Aluminum is a malleable metal, and the fact that the new iPhones are thinner and in the case of the iPhone 6 Plus much bigger, seems to make them even more prone to bending depending on weight of the person.
