Get Smart Bracelet conducts phone calls directly through the bones of the skull

The twin brothers Eduardo and Emiliano Parini, who came from the Incubator of innovative enterprises of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, launched their startup Get. They took the idea of a “smart bracelet” as an alternative form of personal communicator, but tried to solve the basic problems inherent in such gadgets. The prototype has already received about fifty awards in the field of design, engineering and digital technologies, and now it is collecting investments for the release of the first commercial version.

In Get there are no buttons, no touch screen, no connectors for connecting other devices — no vulnerabilities. He is not afraid of light blows and can withstand immersion to a depth of 10 m, and one charge with continuous operation lasts for 5 days. The bracelet provides for mandatory authentication of the owner by fingerprint.

The most interesting function of Get is the feedback, the bracelet transmits all the information to the user through the sound, but no one hears it. Sound vibrations are transmitted into the body, so you need to press your finger to the ear, so that the signal passes through the bones to the organs of hearing. The sound quality is quite acceptable, all words are distinguishable, the bracelet even allows you to listen to music imperceptibly to others.

Get cost at the start will be $ 124, plus shipping. It will go on sale probably in March 2020.
