GEANT's European Open Science Cloud discussed

Leonie Schaefer delivered a presentation on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) at the Institute of Information Technology. 

The event was attended by Deputy Director for Technology, Ph.D. Rashid Alakbarov, Head of International Relations Department, Ph.D. Babak Nabiyev, Head of Department, Ph.D. Yadigar Imamverdiyev, Chief Specialists Tural Mustafayev, and Oktay Alakbarov, as well as responsible persons of AzScienceNet network. 

European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)  provides the scientific community with unhindered access to services in a safe and open virtual environment, long-term storage, collection, integration, and analysis of data, providing The 1.7 million researchers in the European Union have a free, open, reliable and personalized work environment, she noted. 

She also informed about the Vienna Declaration of the European Cloud of Open Science, signed on November 23, 2018 and brought to the notice the provisions of the declaration on the use of the project. 

In the end, views on presentations were exchanged,  questions were answered.
