On 23 May, at the Baku Academy of Music named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, a meeting was held with Leonie Schaefer, Senior manager for International Liaisons (DFN), who is on a visit to our country.

The meeting was attended by Vice-rector on International Relations and Education, Professor Yegana Akhundova, Voice Expert Azer Hajiasgarli, Head of International Relations Department, Ph.D., Babak Nabiyev, chief specialists Tural Mustafayev and Oktay Alakbarov.

Professor Yegana Akhundova informed the guest about the Baku Academy of Music named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli. She said that BMA, the oldest educational institution in the country, has an exceptional role in the development of Azerbaijani music culture.

This technology serves to replace the trips of musicians who are in need of participation in events at various geographical locations (such as concerts, master classes, teaching, etc.), by replacing them with online access to those events, she noted. "Following the introduction of the LOLA system in the academy, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the BMA and the Estonian Music and Theater Academy, and Latvia and Belarus also appealed to the BMA to develop joint projects. "

It should be pointed out that LOLA is a project developed by Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Tartini from Trieste (Italy) in collaboration with GARR, the Italian Research and Academic Network. By setting up this system, it is also possible to conduct Masterclasses, teaching, recording classes and etc. Currently, more than 30 countries and 80 cities around the world have been connected to this system at 107 points.

The first concert with the application of LOLA technology in Azerbaijan will be held in July 2019 at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
