Lenovo introduced the first laptop with a huge flexible display. In the standard “notebook” mode, half the display replaces the keyboard, and in the fully opened state, the device turns into a huge tablet.
The laptop will be part of the ThinkPad X1 line. He is now at the prototype stage, release for sale is scheduled for 2020. The price has not yet been announced even approximate.
The laptop is equipped with a 13.3-inch flexible OLED-display with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels manufactured by LG. Previously, the company experimented with laptops with two displays, but the folding screen uses for the first time. The exact characteristics of the device have not yet been announced.
According to reviews of journalists who were able to hold the prototype in their hands, the screen has a 4: 3 aspect ratio and in the folded notebook state the user gets a 9.6-inch screen (upper half). It also notes that the device weighs less than 900 grams, is equipped with two USB Type-C ports, stereo speakers and an infrared Windows Hello camera.
