Research on Biomimetics

02 Mai 2019 - 16:00 | Conferences, assemblies

Scientific seminar of department № 9 was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

The chief engineer of the department, Ph.D. in technical sciences, associate professor Shafagat Mahmudova, delivered a report on "Biomimetics: Concepts, Problems, Technologies". She informed about biomimetics and its development history, a technology from nature to biomimetics science, etc.

She said that biomimetics is an imitation model of systems and elements in nature to solve the complex problems of people: "Studying biomimetics and applying them to different areas can play an important role in the development of the economy."

Speaking about the formation of a new scientific direction called "Recognition of images" in the second half of the 20th century, the speaker noted that biomimetics emerged as a result of the development of the "scientific recognition of copies".

According to her, biomimetics studies biological systems and processes for the application of knowledge from nature to solve technical issues and helps to create original technical systems based on the ideas found in nature.

Biomimetics studies the work of the human brain explores the mechanism of memory", she noted.

She also provided information about biomimicry and software. "Biomimetics implements the principles and strategies transmitted from biological systems to engineering and technological designs ", she said.
