At the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, a regular joint seminar of Departments No. 4 and No. 6 was held on “Development of the scientific-theoretical and architectural-technological foundations of the national network of acoustic monitoring using the Internet of things technologies”. The report was presented by the Head of Department No. 6, Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor Bikas Agayev. He provided information on the effects of noise on the human body, its normalization and measurement, protection problems, the basis of international and national legislation, acoustic noise monitoring systems. The speaker spoke about the UN development concept, stressing that sustainable development depends on solving environmental problems. Speaking about the global environmental problems of mankind, he said that noise pollution is the second environmental factor of harmful effects on human health. He pointed to the frequency spectrum of acoustic noise, time, frequency characteristics, classification by the nature of its origin and distribution range. Over the past 10-15 years, noise pollution in large cities has increased by 1.5 times.
Then the technical deputy director, Ph.D. in engineering, associate professor Rashid Alakbarov said that the study is relevant in the modern world and is devoted to the country's important problems. R. Alakbarov stressed that the problem of monitoring static noise is being investigated for the first time in the country. He said that the institute has the necessary equipment for the implementation of an acoustic noise monitoring system, and said that this system can be used as practical work in the immediate vicinity of the institute.
