Advantages of the OpenStack cloud operating system discussed

The next scientific seminar of Department No. 4 was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Opening the event, Deputy Director for Technology, Head of department Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Rashid Alakbarov said that the seminar was dedicated to the topic of " Advantages of OpenStack cloud operating system ".

Tural Mustafayev, the chief specialist of the institute, pointed out that OpenStack, an open-source operating system for building a cloud system, is a programmable and infrastructural infrastructure for virtual machines, containers, and physical machines.

According to him, the "Private cloud" model has been uploaded to a user and has the ability to download it to the vendor's data center or to a personal server. Both the "private" and "public" clouds are used, and the Hybrid cloud model is adjusted according to the user's wishes.

The reporter also informed about OpenStack architecture, IT resources automation, rapid delivery of IT services, components, the architecture of "Rackspace Private Cloud".

In the end, views on presentation were exchanged and questions were answered.
