The Medical Group of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University in Atlanta (USA) has developed a mobile application that allows you to diagnose anemia (or anemia - low hemoglobin concentration in the blood) without taking blood. Thanks to him, the user, without testing, can easily identify the symptoms of "lack of blood" by simply taking a picture of the fingers.
Anemia - a violation in the human body, in which the number of red blood cells and hemoglobin in the blood decreases. Anemia is characterized by fatigue, cardiovascular diseases and complications during pregnancy. More than 2 billion people worldwide suffer from anemia (WHO data), mostly women of reproductive age and children.
Most often, anemia is found in developing countries, aggravated by malaria, HIV and other infectious diseases, as well as a lack of iron and vitamins. Diagnosing anemia requires blood samples and expensive laboratory equipment, which is usually not available to people in poor, low-income regions.
