Exhibit of innovative products, services and applications organized at 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum

The 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum kicked off today. The Forum, which is attended by heads of state and government, Nobel laureates, world famous public and political figures, has already become a traditional event.

The purpose of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, which has been held since 2011, is to conduct a wide range of dialogues, exchange views and discussions on global issues of human interest. The event will complete its work tomorrow.

The representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies will deliver speeches on various topics at the prestigious event.
In addition, in the days of the Forum, the Ministry’s pavilion is organized at Heydar Aliyev Center, where innovative products and services, successful applications of startups are demonstrated.

The pavilion consists of such zones as "Robopark", "From Idea to Business" (I2B), "Startups" and "Commercialized Projects".

In general, the pavilion demonstrates drones, wind-driven devices, rescue robots that can distinguish colors, as well as determine location of various things, etc.

Furthermore, three winning startups from higher educational institutions located both in different regions of the republic and Baku city are presenting their projects in the pavilion within the project "From Idea to Business". They are projects "Rescue Bracelet", "Smart Home" and "Virtual Tour".
The "Rescue Bracelet" provides data transfer in connection with pressure problems in a person to the nearest medical stations or local physician.

"Smart Home" is designed for remote control of home appliances, automated household chores.

The "Virtual Tour" is an application for determining and booking tourist facilities online.

Startups who have been educated abroad can also show their products at Ministry's pavilion. Thus, ZoomX, a company of startups received master’s degree in Estonia, demonstrating a prototype of glasses with dynamically changing focus, allowing the user to adjust the lens value (from -6 to +3) using a mobile application in accordance with his visual acuity.

Also, virtual reality glasses (VR), which are able to monitor space using a monitor, are shown.

Another exhibit in the pavilion is the application Wake Me Up. It will be useful for drivers. Convenient and innovative device prevents drivers from sleeping with the help of special glasses in situations prior to a possible accident. Thus, the device based on the eyelid movement determines the drowsiness of the person, whether he is sleeping or awake. Closing the eyes for more than 3 seconds means that the person has already fallen asleep. This is determined by the sensor, which immediately sends information to the processing device with a special algorithm.

Another application presented at the exhibition is Camtouch, which animates any static image using the computer's mouse.

The socially significant device "Braille Teach" makes it easy for visually impaired people to learn the alphabet with the touch of a finger.

International platform of art and culture Google Art & Culture for promoting the digital cultural heritage of Azerbaijan was also shown in the section of the commercialized projects of the exhibition. Thus, the platform brings together digital content of hundreds organizations around the world, events, facilities, as well as several Azerbaijani museums.

In this section, the visitors’ attention will also be attracted by the Virtual Surgery project, which serves to develop a more accurate and efficient model of surgical operations using high technologies.

It is noteworthy to note that each of these projects is a startup project, which has received grants from the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and is a resident of the High Technology Park.

The InnoExpo Pavilion will also continue its work at Heydar Aliyev Center within the framework of the Innovation Week.
At the same time, the exhibition will feature startup projects and services of the organizers of the Global Influencer Day - Keepface DMCC and the FA International Trade Events.

It should be noted that a series of events will take place at Heydar Aliyev Center on October 26-30: Knowledge economy – presentation of the innovation road map of Azerbaijan, the Final of the startup tour "From Idea to Business", conference Global Influencer Day, "Safe Cloud Infrastructure" from AzInTelecom, eSports tournament Baku Open Cyber Cup, a workshop on intellectual property rights and conference "ICT Career Trends".
