In the future, artificial intelligence will be able to hedge doctors in identifying diseases.
Artificial intelligence BioMind, developed in one of the Beijing hospitals, was ahead of the experienced physicians in determining the brain tumor. Neuronet coped with its task faster and better, reports The Next Web with reference to Xinhua News Agency.
A digital doctor and a company of 15 leading physicians suggested 225 medical records of patients with suspected brain tumor. AI in the nines and crushed their counterparts. Neuronet determined the disease with an accuracy of 83%, whereas physicians coped with their task with an accuracy of 63%. BioMind also took only 15 minutes to study all 225 medical records, whereas the team of doctors was engaged in diagnosing about half an hour.
To teach the neural network to diagnose diseases, she was shown thousands of medical cards from the archives of Chinese hospitals.
