A unique sensor in the form of candy will show what happens inside the body

Technical University of Munich introduced a new method of non-invasive (non-traumatic) diagnosis of various ailments. As transfers "MIR24", the rate is made on the sensors created in the form of gelatinous sweets. Such sensors can monitor important indicators of brain and heart function.

In principle, microscopic sensors are not something revolutionary. However, standard hard sensors can damage the tissues of the body or cause inflammation when ingested. Therefore, German scientists decided to create a soft shell. For this they used gelatin.

The candy-sensor itself was created on a three-dimensional printer. It turned out a powerful diagnostic weapon, which is able to fix the rhythm of the heartbeat, signals of the brain, the activity of muscle cells. In the future, candy sensors can be turned into pacemakers, experts say.
