The next meeting of the Dissertation Council under the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS was held.
Chairman of the Dissertation Council, academician secretary of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliev informed about the issues on the agenda and said that the meeting was devoted to the dissertation work and the approval of curators on the specialty 3338.01 "System analysis, management and information processing".
At the meeting, the thesis of Gulnara Abbasova, who is seeking a PhD on technical sciences "Development of optimal control model and algorithms for the supply of liquid supply systems in non-reliably relief areas" and Irada Alakbarova's "Methods and algorithms for the analysis of information war technology in wiki environment"were presented, the curators were appointed and approved.
Corresponding members of ANAS, doctor of sciences, professor Masuma Mammadova and PhD in technical sciences, associate professor Zarifa Jabrayilova were appointed curators on thesis of G.Abbasova. The supervisors of the dissertation were the Doctor of Engineering Sciences Nadir Agayev and Ph.D in technical sciences Yadigar Imamverdiyev.
Then, academician R. Alguliyev emphasized the importance of the development of mathematical knowledge and thinking in the integration of Azerbaijani science into world science. He pointed out the need for wider use of mathematical modeling in scientific researches and study of world practice in this field.
The scientist emphasized that there are problems with the teaching of mathematics at secondary and high schools of the country, and this issue is in the center of attention of ANAS.
Noting that complex measures are being taken to form mathematical culture, conducting various seminars and conferences, R. Alguliev urged scholars and specialists to actively participate in this process and support young researchers.
