National Center for Ophthalmology conducted free examination for the eployees of the Institute

On January 11, 2018 the Mobile Clinic of the National Center for Ophthalmology named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva carried out a free eye examination for employees of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. Persons participating in the humanitarian action were thoroughly examined by medical ophthalmologists, their visual acuity, eye pressure was checked and necessary treatment measures were identified.

According to the officer of the Eximer-Laser Department of the National Ophthalmology Center, PhD, ophthalmologist, surgeon Aygun Safarova, the main purpose of this action is to detect and monitor employe’s eye contraindications without separating them from the work process.

Mobile Clinic had extensive technical capabilities to conduct an eye examination, she said. She noted that, in the course of the examinations, mainly psychiatric disorders such as dry eye syndrome and spasm have been detected, which is characteristic of people who have close contact with the computer.

This action is planned to be held at other institutes and organizations of ANAS, A.Safarova noted.

It should be noted that the National Center for Ophthalmology conducts extensive public awareness activities on eye diseases both in Baku and in regions, conducts actions for the examination and treatment of ophthalmic patients.
