An article entitled "About Big Data Measurement Methodologies and Indicators", co-authored by the head of department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, PhD in technical sciences, associate professor Makrufa Hajirahimova and senior research fellow Aybaniz Aliyeva was published in "International Journal of Modern Published in the International Journal of Education and Computer Science (IJMECS) international journal.
The article reviews key approaches to Big Data assignment - attribution (IDC, IBM, Gartner, Microsoft researchers), Comparative (McKinsey) and architectural (US National Institute of Standards and Technology) approaches. The proposed methodological approaches and indicators for measuring Big Data are studied. In the field of information volume measurement, researchers from the University of California Martin Hilbert and Priscila López, researchers from the University of San Diego California, Roger E. Bohn, James E. Short, UNC, Cisco and McKinsey have studied methodological approaches. Big Data Ecosystem, Data Market, Quality, and Social Factors Measurement Indicators, as well as Big Data Indicators for Information Society Measurement, are researched. The article suggests indicators for measuring factors that affect the growth and development of Big Data.
