Device that transforms analog cameras to digital cameras has been created

A device called I'm Back will allow you to get rid of the film and add to the old camera Wi-Fi, video shooting and an external monitor.

I'm Back can be connected to any film 35mm camera, any model of 50-90s will do, hi-tech.mail.ru reports. The device is put on the camera instead of the film tray and significantly increases the dimensions of the camera. The device itself has a digital CMOS-sensor with a resolution of 16 megapixels and optics from Panasonic, which allow you to replace the file system.

For processing the image corresponds to a compact chip Raspberry Pi Zero. The old film camera with the connected device I'm Back will learn how to shoot photos in JPG format and video in MP4 with the H.264 codec with a maximum resolution of 2880x260 pixels. Also, it will be able to transfer data via Wi-Fi and connect smartphones as external monitors. The files are saved to the microSD card.

The creator of I'm back also developed a simple operating system for controlling camera functions and setting modes. The system is controlled via a 2-inch touchscreen display.

The base set I'm Back costs 126 euros - about 9 thousand rubles. Pre-orders are collected on the Kickstarter site. The first deliveries are planned for May 2018.
