The next scientific seminar devoted to the dissertation work on the theme "Methods of ensuring information security of cyber-physical systems" was held at the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS.
A senior research fellow of the Institute, PhD Ludmila Sukhostat said that one of the key driving forces of the 4th industrial revolution, ensuring the security of cyber-physical systems is one of the most topical issues.
"Cyber-physical systems are systems that combine cyber and physical components with the help of modern sensor, computing and networking technologies," said the reporter and she also gave detailed information on the technologies that form the basis of these systems. She said that these technologies include "Internet of the Things", smart-technologies, cloud computing, Big Data, etc.
According to her, cyber-physical systems are key technologies for the development of smart-production, smart-medicine, smart-buildings, smart-cars, defence systems, meteorological systems and other spheres. Rapidly increasing the applications of these systems creates some problems with information security and confidentiality of personal data.
L.Sukhostat provided detailed information on each approach, noting that approaches to detection of anomalies on Big Data based on clusterization were proposed. She reported that experiments on real-size data of different sizes demonstrated the effectiveness of proposed approaches both in clusterization and in the detection of anomalies.
Finally, discussions were held around the report, and questions were answered. Head of the department, PhD in technical sciences, associate professor Yadigar Imamverdiyev recommended to further deepen research in the field of information security of cyber-physical systems and made a number of proposals.
