LG introduced a "frameless" Q6 smartphone with a face recognition function instead of a fingerprint scanner

LG introduced a mini version of the flagship smartphone LG G6. The device in the LG Q6 series came out immediately in three versions of the LG Q6, LG Q6 + and LG Q6a, each of which received a 5.5-inch frameless display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels.
The devices have a practically frameless design and are enclosed in a curved body by an aluminum frame. They are based on the Snapdragon 435 chip and are equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash, a wide-angle front 5-megapixel camera, a 3000 mAh battery and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with LG UX 6.0 interface.

Smartphones differ from each other only by the amount of memory. And, if the LG Q6 + is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory, the LG Q6 and LG Q6a use 3/32 GB and 2/16 GB of memory, respectively.
LG Q6 is not equipped with a fingerprint scanner, which was replaced by the face recognition function.

In all three models there is support for LTE / 3G / 2G, there are Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-B 2.0, and their sizes are at 142.5 x 69.3 x 8, 1 mm, weight - 149 grams. Devices depending on the modification will be delivered in the colors of Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Marine Blue, Mystic White, Terra Gold.
Data on prices yet, but this is the model of the middle segment, which, according to LG, "offer key features of premium models at a special price." In other words, instead of one compact flagship G6 mini, the company decided to release a whole line of devices.

Sales of LG Q6 in the "key markets" of Asia will start next month and will gradually reach other countries in Europe, Latin America and North America.
