Discussion on Parallel programming technologies

The next seminar of the department No. 4 was held at the  Institute of Information Technology.

The event was opened by the Deputy Director of the institute, PhD, associate professor Rashid Alakbarov. He  noted that the seminar  was dedicated  to  parallel programming.

Then, the operator of Data Center AzScienceNet  Tural Mustafayev delivered a report named  "Application issues of Parallel programming technologies" . According to him, application of parallel programming technology enables the effective solution of issues that require high computing power.

Providing information about architectures of parallel computing systems, T.Mustafayev noted that cluster, grid and other computing systems are based on architecture of Flinnin MIMD.

Speaking about the advantages of parallel computing systems, here includes time-saving, cost reduction, more complex issues, The lack of resources related to space , and so on.  factors, he said.  

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
