The role of software in education management

The seminar on subject “The role of software in education management ‘’ was held in the Training Innovation Center of  the Institute of Information Technology.  The report was delivered by the collegue of Center Kamala Gurbanova.  The first theory  on Software was proposed  by English mathematician Alan Turing  in 1936.  in 1968, Program Engineering  term was used in conference of NATO for the first time in order to draw attention to the solution of crisis in Software.

Informing about the application of software in education system of Azerbaijan she noted that informatics and programming  began to take shape from the 60s. The development of complex systems methods and training of specialists  according to modern standards  proves that the scientific potential exists in this field.

According to K.Kurbanova ,  important work was done on  the modernization of education and automated education sector was created. Based on  increasing experience year by year, ICT application problems in education  are being investigated and  developed by eliminating shortcomings.

Then, K. Kurbanova  informed about the use of Software in the Training Innovation Center of institute. Courses were organized for teaching computer science for doctoral and PhD students in the center, she said. 

According to her, by the initiative of ANAS , in order to improve the organization of the examination, training on "Electronic testing system" has been organized in the Training and Innovation Center of the Institute and scientific institutions of the Academy. Here the rules for the use of the software, inclusion of information to the system, instruction which reflects necessary information on the achieved results has been prepared and has been presented to the participants.

Speaking about verification of knowledge by electronic test and results analysis, reporter said that in education system software consists of three parts. He noted that here includes creaating the database, (information about the tests and examiners), verification (examination), and analysis of computer verification results.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
