In the UK, special units have been created to deal with drones, which supply prohibited objects, drugs, etc. to prisons. This is written by TASS with reference to a press release published on the website of the government of the country.
It is assumed that special detachments consisting of police officers and employees of penitentiary institutions will investigate drones found in the prisons and try to identify the identities of "smugglers".
British Deputy Minister of Justice, Sam Jiim, said that the authorities "are determined to fight the illegal flow of drugs and mobile phones delivered to prisons in order to make them safe." He himself sent the "smugglers" a message: "We will find you and put you in jail."
In recent times, cases of "smuggling" into prisons, carried out with the help of drones, have become more frequent. So, in March, a man was convicted in the UK, who threw more than 48,000 pounds sterling (3.38 million rubles) with drones into prisons.
