New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman today filed a lawsuit against Charter Communications, the parent company of Spectrum (previously known as Time Warner Cable.) The lawsuit alleges that the cable and internet provider misled customers on internet speeds and failed to address network issues that impacted service.
Back in January 2012, the provider promised "fast and reliable connection" in any part of the subscriber's home, tech.onliner.by reports. But the 16-month investigation showed that the speed of broadband Internet was 70% lower than promised, and Wi-Fi-connection - up to 80%. However, some subscribers will pay $ 110 per month and receive one-third or half of the on-load speed. This potential victims of such a service would be about 5 million local residents.
