Students of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University will pass a probation at the Institute of Information Technology

15 masters of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University studying in "Informatics", "Computer Hardware and Software", "Automation and management" of Information Technology Faculty will pass a probation at the Institute of Information Technology.

Practice course aimed to the effectiveness of professional personnel training and to support scientific research is conducting in accordance with the agreement signed between  two institutions.

Head of the International Relations department, PhD Vugar Musayev delivered a presentation on subject "Research, education, innovation and networking at the Institute of Information Technology". He  gave detailed information  about the history of the institute, main aspects, state programs and projects, international and national-level conferences. V.Musayev noted the statistical indicators of articles published by the colleagues of the institute.

Reporter also informed about activities of Training Innovation Center. Teaching  of computer science to doctoral students and doctoral candidates all over the country and the process of examinations carried out in this center.

Head of department also informed about services of AzScienceNet science-computer network. Wi-Fi, Eduroam, Cloud Computing, Cloud Storage, cluster computing, Hosting, IP Telephony, distributed multiterminal data service, operative awareness, video conferencing, e-libraries, distant learning  and so on.  services are provided at the  network, he noted.

AzScienceNet, as well as , establishment of  high-speed regional Internet network on  research and education  connecting country with Eastern European countries and represents in "EaPConnect" project of GEANT Association for accession to the e-science infrastructure of Europe. Currently, it computing power is about 15 teraflops, and the amount of external memory - 400 terabytes, he noticed.

V. Musayev gave brief information about activities of "Information Technology" publishing, widescreen digital printing equipment constructed  here and publication of  various books, textbooks, magazines.

In the end, questions of masters were answered, they were attached to the relevant departments of the institute.
