Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS celebrated International Data Privacy Day

November 30 - International Data Privacy Day. The aim of the Day is a reminder of the need to protect computer data, as well as to draw the attention of producers and users of hardware and software privacy problems.

The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held an event to commemorate the International Data Privacy Day. Scientific-practical seminar was opened by the director of the Institute, academician - secretary of ANAS corresponding member of ANAS Rasim Alguliev, who said that the issue of information privacy is a major part of the national privacy of Azerbaijan.

With the formation of information society and  development of information technologies, as well as, entering  knowledge economy to the new stage, information security component  has became topical in society, Rasim Alguliyev said.

Head of department, DSc  Ramiz Aliguliyev  delivered a report named ''Detection of hidden  social networks in online environment". Establishment and the popularity of online social networks provide accessibility to information. Thus, new perspectives  has opened in learning of  social systems, he noted.

Then, leading research fellow of the Institute PhD, associate professor Ramiz  Shikhaliyev deliverd a report on subject "Ethical and legal issues of information security".

During the event, Head of Department, Institute PhD in engineering Yadigar Imamverdiyev spoke on "Actual problems of data privacy of e-government", chief sector of the institute Irada Alekberova reported on "New threats of data warfare" sector of the institute Babak Nabiyev on “Data privacy problems on the Internet in Azerbaijan" , Head of the Department, PhD in engineering Vugar Musayev on "International experience and initiatives in the field of data privacy" , Ph.D. technique Fargana Abdullayeva on “The problem of trust in cloud technologies”, PhD student of the institute Latif Tarverdiev on “Approaches to assessing the quality of antivirus software”.

Senior research  fellow of the Institute Tamilla  Bayramova delivered  a report on subject "Security problems  of Software systems ".

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
