“Platform” submarine robot was successfully tested in the Arctic seas

"Platform" submarine robot which made with the effort of Tomsk Polytechnic University scientists has successfully completed trials in the Arctic seas. Underwater apparatus investigated the nature of global warming on the Arctic shelf.

According to planet-today.ru, "Platform" robot before was tested in Vladivostok, and then was sent to the Arctic expedition with "Academic Lavrentyev" ship together.

Automated submarine apparatus is the result of a joint project of Far Eastern branch of the Institute of Marine Technology Problems of Russian Academy of Sciences and Tomsk Polytechnic University.
