A new approach for detecting hidden social networks was presented

A joint scientific seminar of of No.13 and 17 department on topic  “Detection of hidden social networks based on analyses of E-government users’ comments” was held at the Institute of Information Technology.

A report was introduced by the research fellow of the institute Gunay Niftaliyeva. Documentation procedures within the state structures of e-government, including services introduced to legal entities and individuals are  processes implemented via information technology, she said.

One of the important tasks of the state is prevention the dissemination of propaganda against the state at e-government environment, detection of  hidden social networks and  improvement of management, Gunay Niftaliyeva  stressed. It is possible to detect internal structure of various social groups which is available non-obvious form by applying social networks theory.

Then, she introduced a new approach proposed by herself for detecting hidden social networks in the e-government environment and brought attention analysis methods of comments based on dictionary and machine processing.

The speaker also informed about application aspects of this approach.

After all, academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology Rasim Alguliyev  approved a new approach and advised to deepen researches in this direction.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
