Report on subject Science 2.0: The purpose, opportunities and effect mechanisms of the facilities " was introduced

A next seminar of No. 3 department was held at the Institute of Information Technology. Head of department Tahmasib Fataliyev noted that new concepts such as  Science 2.0, Open Science, Education 2.0, Library 2.0, of ICT, especially, in the development  Web 2.0 technology, of ongoing digitization phenomenon were developed by him. ICT, specially, with the application of Web 2.0 technologies activity areas  are characterized based on scientific exchange and cooperation.  Science 2.0  which plays an important role in the formation of e-science was discussed in the seminar,  he said.

Then, a report was introduced by  employee of department  Ulviyye Ismiyeva .   She informed about components Science 2.0, factors  accelerating its development, impact to the research systems and researchers and etc.

Science 2.0 is consists of alternative evaluation systems, open bibliographic database, scientific blogs, citizen science, Ulviyye Ismiyeva said. Evolution of research activity, establishment and development of new scientific institution, rapid increase in the number of researchers, opportunities of digital technologies, solution of global and significant problems, improvement of ICT knowledge of researches are the main factors accelerating its development.

Mostly, discussions on the development of Science 2.0 at international level are carried out on its individual elements, reporter noted. Declaration of San Francisco on Evaluation Research (2012) highlighted Improvement of evaluation methods of scientific–research results.

Lack of awareness, financial problems, lack of assessment of quality supply, uninvolvement of citizens to scientific assessment, threats to validity and etc. delay the development of Science 2.0, she noted.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
