Perspectives of applying mobile network technologies discussed

The next seminar of Department No. 4 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS was held.

The employee of the department Malik Valiyev presented a report on “Mobile network technologies” and gave detailed information about 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G technologies. Speaking about the stages of development of the mobile network technologies the speaker noted that 1G technology has been used since the early 1980s.

Since the 2000s and 2010 3G and 4G technologies have been widely used respectively. But in recent years, important measures have been taken due to the transition to 5G technologies M. Valiyev stated. He said that according to a number of distinguished features from other mobile network technologies, the initial stage of the use of 5G 1 Gbit/s speed has been reached.

Speaking about the advantages of these technologies he noted that they minimize network failures and provide television and radio broadcasting with 65 thousand communication channel. He said that the main difference between this technology and other technologies is the high speed of downloading data in the future, "smart" houses, allowing wider use of ultra-HD and 3D videos.

5G technology will be launched in 2018. During Winter Olympic Games in South Korea the 10 Gb/s speed will be offered to users, he noted.
