55 percent of the world's population now lives in cities, reports the magazine “Наука и жизнь”. Every day, the city's population is increasing by 190 million people. This, in turn, creates a number of problems for cities.

According to the UN, the number of urban dwellers will reach 6.3 billion people by 2050, which amounts 66% of the planet's population.
