The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS published Express information "Bibliometrics: current status, problems and development prospects". The authors of the new edition are academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology, academic Rasim Alguliyev and sector head of the institute, Ph.D. Nigar Ismayilova, and the scientific editor is the head of department, Dr. Ramiz Aliguliyev.

The book examined the emergence of Bibliometrics, its essence, scientific and theoretical basis, problems and development prospects. Scientific research measurement techniques, existing indicators, science mapping technologies are described. Application prospects of Bibliometrics in various fields, violations of authorship ethics as a result of abusing the bibliometric indicators and their prevention are explained.
