The US Administration FDA Food and Drug Administration recently officially certified tablets, printed on 3D-printer. They are intended for the treatment of epileptic seizures and may be more effective than conventional drugs, as three-dimensional printing allows for individual selection of dosage and combination of active components. The tablet is printed layer by layer, which reduces its size and increases the speed of decomposition in the body.

Earlier, the United States has approved the use of different prostheses, printed on 3D-printer, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient's body.
