On May 16 the Military Academy of the Armed Forces hosted the First Scientific and Practical Conference on Development Prospects of the Military science according to the “Action Plan of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015”confirmed by the Minister of Defense of AR. More than 350 representatives from 40 ministries, committees, higher education institutions, institutions and research centers attended the event.

Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov opened the meeting. The Armed Forces of the country was founded by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, and became the region's most powerful army today with the support of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, he brought to the attention of the conference participants.

Later, chief of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Haydar Piriyev made report on the “Military science and military education: development and prospects”, the Minister of Communications and High Technologies of AR, acad. Ali Abbasov on the “Role of information technology in the development of Military science”, director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Academy of Management under the President, Professor Elman Nasirov on the “Role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of military science”, and Chief of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, acad. Arif Mehdiyev, Deputy chairman of Milli Majlis security and defense committee Aydin Mirzazadeh, academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, acad. Rasim Alguliyev made speeches.

Academician R.Aliguliyev first congratulated the participants on behalf of ANAS and wished success to the participants and organizers of the conference.

The plenary part of the conference was followed by the scientific reports in the military-theoretical, military-technical, national security, military and humanitarian, and military medicine sections.
