On May 14, the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS hosted the Second Republic scientific-practical conference on the multidisciplinary problems of Information security dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Union. The event was organized by the Ministry of Communications and Hugh Technologies of AR, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. Related government agencies, researchers and experts on information technology (IT) from higher education institutions and research institutes of ANAS, media mass representatives attended the conference.

The conference started with the exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Union.

The event was opened by the President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh. He highly appreciated the conference and mentioned it as an important event of the scientific community.

The conference was followed by the 3 parallel sections. The first section on "Humanitarian problems of Information security" included scientific reports on "Humanitarian aspects of Information security", "National security and Internet freedom," “The Azerbaijan language in multilingual Internet", "Fighting cybercrime: challenges and opportunities", "Negative impacts of information and ways to overcome them," "Cyber incident problems and their solutions", and the second section on "E-government information security" included scientific reports on "Terrorism-related texts detection methods in E-government", "Security issues of AzScienceNet Internet services", "Cloud-based mobile e-signature for e-government", "Information security of e-science", and the third section on "Information security technologies" included scientific reports on the "Role of biometric technologies to ensure information security," "Big Data technologies and threats"," Internet domain infrastructure security - DNSSEC" and other important issues.

Note that, 74 scientific reports were presented to the conference from the research and educational institutions.
