Sector chief of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, PhD Nigar Ismayılova presented a report on the "Methodological Basis of Bibliometric mapping" at the scientific seminar of the institute.

She touched upon the preparation process of Bibliometric mapping, and said that Bibliometrics is a study of quantitative data of any type. She said that bibliographic mapping of a science is one of the computational methods for visualization of scientific bibliography using bibliographic data. She mentioned that bibliometric maps ensures to determine the most leading topics of the given, and to clarify coordination forms of these issues, and the development dynamics of the scientific direction for a certain period of time.
