And as ever, Google has taken the time to post about the most searched for terms which users have been desperate for info on throughout 2014.

2. World Cup

4. Malaysia Airlines
5. Flappy Bird
6. ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
7. ISIS
8. Ferguson
9. Frozen
10.Ukraine

And while it would stand to reason Williams would be the year's most-Googled celebrity, there were at least 10 more names who got more traffic throughout the year.
