As it is known, annual reports of structural department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS started. At the following assembly of the Scientific Board of the Institute the report of the Department No.4 for 2014 was discussed.

Head of Department, Chief Engineer of the institute, PhD Rashid Alakbarov, informed about researches, innovation and scientific and educational activities, e-books and other publications of the department.

The researches conducted at the department are on the study of scientific-theoretical problems of information technology and information society, and the development of efficient methods, the problems of the Internet regulation, multi-aspect problems of supercomputer technology (cloud, grid, etc.) and so on, he said. At the same time, he touched upon the development of synthesis methods and algorithms for virtual computing and memory environment at computer network.

The new software was installed in AzScienceNet and technical capabilities increased. Network and communication infrastructure of Ganja Branch of ANAS was reconstructed and Distance Education Centre was established at the branch.

Doctor of engineering Ramiz Aliguliyev, PhD Bikas Aghayev, PhD in economics, associate professor Alovsat Aliyev and others discussed the report, and expressed their suggestions and recommendations. The report of the department was considered satisfactory by the decision of the Scientific Council.
