According to Mediascope, YouTube is the third most popular site in Russia. The country has more than 500 channels with more than 1 million subscribers. In addition, there are almost 6,000 channels in Russia with more than 100,000 subscribers.

The number of registered monthly YouTube users is over 2 billion. Every day, users of the service watch more than a billion hours of video and generate billions of views. At the same time, more than 500 hours of content are uploaded to YouTube every minute.

According to gazeta.ru, compared with last year, the number of authors earning five-digit numbers in dollars increased by more than 40%. Among other things, over 170,000 YouTube channels worldwide have reached 100,000 subscribers.
