Scientists predict loss of confidence in technology February 13, 2020 | 03:56 / Interesting information

The boundaries of the digital world will expand rapidly, as well as the degree of adoption of Internet technologies by wide layers of the population, say employees of Tyumen State University, who predict that this will ultimately lead to an increase in distrust of technology. Tyumen scientists presented the results of their research at the All-Russian Conference “Challenges and Opportunities for Financial Support for Stable Economic Growth”.

“Companies that seek to gain the trust of customers should invest in initiatives that will enhance global confidence in technology. Those large business players who will work in this direction will receive enormous competitive advantages associated with high customer loyalty. Given this, there is a certain risk of a new type of digital divide. This gap will be expressed in the fact that some countries will have much less developed Internet communities than others, ”says Ekaterina Mazikova, assistant professor of finance, money circulation and credit, Tyumen State University.

According to planet-today.ru, states that cannot create developed and reliable Internet communities will seriously lag behind in areas such as protecting citizens from fake news and protecting personal data. Russia, despite the growth of investments in the information and communications sector, is still at risk of being one of such countries. According to Mazikova, in the future distrust of technology will only increase, and this will create a paradoxical situation, as the development of information technology will also accelerate.
