The largest telescope in the world captures the incredibly detailed surface of the sun January 30, 2020 | 09:03 / Interesting information

National Science Foundation of the United States of America took pictures of Sun's surface with Daniel K Inouye Solar Telescope that show features as small as 30km across.

The data will help scientists to understand the Sun's activities and gain new knowledge about it.

In these photos taken by the telescope, it is clear that the Sun's surface is approaching "hot" plasma. The "checkers structure" is inclined upwards from the inside and is oriented towards the outside. Thus, energy flows peripherally.

According to experts, the structure is approximately the size of Texas, USA. It consists of convective masses of hot, gas or plasma.

“We already have a joint observation and research plan with our colleagues. It will be a fantastic study, ”said  Prof Louise Harra from the Physical Meteorological Observatory in Davos, Switzerland, told BBC News on Russia.
