The University of Malmo is working on a sensor in the form of a patch that analyzes the molecules emitted by the tumor. With its help, it is possible to make a diagnosis in a few minutes. But this is still in theory.

According to meddaily.ru, this patch may put an end to biopsies - a painful and risky procedure involving the collection of a tissue sample for analysis. After the fence, the diagnosis takes several weeks.

Scientists have suggested that a cancerous tumor will emit certain molecules. True, the final conclusions regarding the ability of the patch to capture these molecules will be made by specialists no earlier than 2021.

They want to stick a patch on healthy volunteers and cancer patients to evaluate effectiveness. Now we are working on a prototype patch. Scientists are also looking for the best way to analyze captured molecules. In this case, the final product should cost less than the biopsy procedure.
