In the future, this will allow the implementation of tactile Internet technology, thanks to which surgeons can conduct remote operations using robots, musicians can remotely rehearse and give lessons, and gamers will receive computer games with the effect of complete immersion in virtual reality. The introduction of technology will begin in 2020, and the beginning of mass use can be expected within five years.

Specialists created unique algorithms for uploading information, due to which it was possible to optimize the network and reduce energy consumption.

During the tests, one of the researchers put on his hand a special sensory glove that sensed his movements, ”explained Ammar Muthanna. - Further, the signal was transmitted through our network to a robotic manipulator that repeated human movements.

The delay in 5G networks will not exceed one millisecond, however, information processing processes can accelerate it, and this development is needed to accelerate it, ”said Evgeny Khorov, head of the Wireless Networks Laboratory of the Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
