Scientists have created contact lenses that can increase the image with a double blink July 30, 2019 | 10:30 / Interesting information

Researchers at the University of California at San Diego have made contact lenses that can zoom in on user command. The contact lens is controlled by eye movement.

The person, at will, can increase the visible image. To do this, you need to blink twice, and the soft biometric device counts the electrical signals that occur when the eyelids move, and will work as a zoom in the camera lens. Lenses receive signals from five electrodes. In addition, such a device can be worn and those people who have a visual impairment.

The device will still receive pulses. So far this is only a prototype and it’s too early to talk about mass production, but scientists are not stopping their work on the project.
