One of the main directions of the “National Strategy of Information Society Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2014-2020” is the formation of e-medicine. Since 2014, the problems of the formation of e-medicine at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS are analyzed and research is being conducted to solve them.

The scientific and theoretical results of the research were published in the monograph “Electronic medicine: formation and scientific-theoretical problems”, co-authored by the corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences, professor Masuma Mamedova and doctor of technical Sciences, Associate Professor Zarifa Jabrayilova.

The monograph is devoted to the essence, possibilities, formation of e-medicine, the development of medical expert systems for making medical decisions, information security of individual medical information and analysis of Big Data problems in medicine.

Academic advisor to the monograph is the vice-president of ANAS, the director of the institute, academician Rasim Aliguliyev, scientific editors are academician Telman Aliyev and corresponding member of ANAS Nuru Bayramov.

The reviewers of the monograph, published by the Scientific Board of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, are the corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev, doctor of technical sciences, professor Alakbar Aliyev, doctor of technical sciences, associate professor Fargana Abdullayeva.

The monograph is intended for a wide range of readers, including researchers, teachers, and students interested in the field of information technology, medical informatics, e-medicine.
