Scientists have discovered a unique tissue regeneration technology April 26, 2019 | 04:36 / Technological innovations

The University of Bristol introduced a new technology that will create a new generation of surgical glue and bandages for chronic wounds. Scientists have changed the membrane of human mesenchymal stem cells, reports China.org, using thrombin, an element associated with wound healing.

When the altered cells were placed in solution with blood protein, fibrinogen, they were automatically fused together through the growth of a natural hydrogel located on the surface of the cells. Through this process, various injuries can be regenerated efficiently, taking into account that there is a lot of fibrinogen in the blood.

Also, the resulting three-dimensional cellular structures can be used to grow tissues and artificial organs. The result is a technology that allows cells to grow on their own extracellular framework. The cells protect themselves and remain viable after transplantation.
