Next scientific seminar of Department № 2 of Institute of Information Technology of ANAS was held. At the seminar Firangiz Sadiyeva, a master's student of the institute presented a report on "Application of ARIMA model for predicting cryptocurrency rates". She pointed out that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies emerged in the last decade have become an attractive financial instrument and they have basic technological principles. 

Despite the fact that the total volume of the crypto-currency market is currently estimated at $ 100 billion, these new financial instruments are still in the initial stage, she noted.

According to her, prediction and modeling of prices of cryptocurrency are one of the important trends of the new research.

F. Sadiyeva's presentation mainly covered t the application of Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model for classic time series models for prediction of cryptocurrency rates.

Views on both presentations were exchanged and questions were answered.
