Experts recognize Japan as the best country in terms of cybersecurity

British research company Comparitech ranked countries in the world in terms of cyber security. Japan became its leader, Algeria was in last place out of 60 possible, and Russia took the 23rd place in the list.
According to Kommersant, the position of countries in the ranking was influenced by seven criteria, including the proportion of mobile devices and PCs infected with malware, the number of hacker attacks to steal money, as well as the preparedness of a particular country to hacker attacks and the presence of relevant legislation. As a result, each country could score from 0 to 100 points - the lower the score, the better the country is protected from cyber threats.
According to the final table, Japan received only 8.8 points. In the second and third place were France and Canada, scored 10.6 and 11.2 points, respectively. The top ten also includes Denmark, USA, Ireland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Singapore. These countries scored from 12 to 15.1 points. Russia scored 28 points, and Algeria that finished last - 55.8 points.
Separately, analysts have named countries that have become leaders or anti-leaders according to individual criteria. For example, in Bangladesh, the highest proportion of mobile devices were infected with malware (35.9%). The largest proportion of infected computers was recorded in Algeria (32.4%). The largest number of attacks to steal money was Germany, where 3% of users fell victim to hackers.
Experts recognized Singapore as the best-prepared country for cyber attacks, and Vietnam was the least prepared. Finally, best of all is the current requirements in the field of cyber security in France, China, Russia, and Germany.
Recall the other day, Microsoft, presented the results of a survey on the culture of communication and personal safety in the network. According to analysts, Russia ranked 19th among 22 countries in the digital culture ranking. The countries with the highest level of digital culture at Microsoft have recognized the UK, USA, France, Belgium and Germany.
