The International Safer Internet Day is being celebrated globally today, with the theme "Creating a mutual respect environment: the better Internet starts with you".

International Safe Internet Day (International Safer Internet Day) is celebrated in February every year since 2004 on the initiative of the European Commission. The main objective is to promote a secure Internet, particularly to educate future generations about existing threats in the global network, conduct awareness-raising activities, and promote the safer and more responsible use of online technologies among children and adolescents. 

On the same day, a number of events are organized by Insafe Safe Internet Centers Network in many countries around the world.
