A workshop on the topic “Artificial Intelligence - opportunities for innovations and entrepreneurship” was organized by the Data Processing Center and the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

The main purpose of the workshop was to discuss the possibilities of introducing artificial intelligence in the field of innovative entrepreneurship, presentation of local projects operating in this area, as well as to hold discussions in the field of artificial intelligence.

The  topics discussed at the workshop were the characteristic features of the use of artificial intelligence products for the development of innovative entrepreneurship, automation of basic technological processes, statistical indicators on the use of artificial intelligence in the field of entrepreneurship in countries across the world, the role of state authorities in creating favorable conditions for the development of innovative entrepreneurship, application of artificial intelligence in entrepreneurship in order to get higher returns in gross domestic product.

Speaking at the workshop, head of the Department of Innovation Development of the Information Society and Electronic Governance of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Azizov noted that in recent years, due to the rapid development of science and technology, as well as the ever-increasing demand of society for these innovations, innovation has become an integral part of the business activities. “Innovative entrepreneurship is the activity of developing and introducing new technologies, equipment, products and services for the purpose of earning a profit.”

It was also reported at the event that nowadays, sophisticated innovative technology of artificial intelligence, which allows computers to function as the human brain, plays an important role in the innovative development of society by integrating into various areas of social life. Currently, the most advanced and developed countries in the world spend a significant amount of funds on the development of high-tech innovative products and services based on artificial intelligence.

It was noted that in recent years, artificial intelligence products have been widely introduced in telecommunications, electronic commerce, transport, healthcare, financial and other industrial fields, as well as in the field of innovative entrepreneurship.

To that end, in these areas in the next few years, the volume of investment in artificial intelligence technologies, software and their application continues to grow.

It was reported that in international practice, artificial intelligence is one of the most profitable areas of the field of information technology. At the same time, the development of artificial intelligence gives a boost to enhancing the diversification of countries’ economies.
