At the meeting of the Scientific Board of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the head of department No.6, Ph.D. in technical sciences Bikas Agayev presented the report for 2018 of the department headed by him.  He informed about scientific-research work and noted that conceptual bases for forming audio-video spaces in the information society in the field of audio-informational technologies were developed. Methods and algorithms for evaluating received signals from computer and telephone networks, as well as filtration methods of technological acoustics and speech signals, were developed, he noted.

He pointed out the conceptual framework for the creation of a national acoustic intellectual monitoring network for the development of scientific-theoretical and architectural-technological bases of the national acoustic intellectual monitoring network with the application of the Internet of Things Technologies.

The reporter said that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has developed proposals for the monitoring and improvement of the current state of e-waste disposal, as well as the problems of e-waste and ways of the solution in Azerbaijan, within the scope of scientific and socio-economic problems of e-waste.

B. Aghayev spoke about the scientific and innovation activities of the department. Works on grant projects “Development of proposals for the creation of an effective management system for electronic waste problems and their solutions” in SOCAR and "Electronic waste problems and their solutions in Azerbaijan" of  Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan are continued.

The scientist gave detailed information about the scientific-pedagogical and scientific-organizational activities in the department, the promotion of scientific-practical results in mass media and the measures implemented within international scientific cooperation.

The exchange of views on the report was held, and many questions were answered. By the decision of the scientific board, the department report was considered satisfactory.
